05Go on. Take a peek – it's hard not to.
See, every part of the Civic has been carefully crafted to give it a dynamic presence on the road. Everything from its sculpted headlights to the unique rear spoiler. It's also been designed to optimise air-flow – which helps make driving a breeze.

that goes a long way 863 miles in fact. That's like driving from London to Paris and then back again – on just one tank of fuel. It's no wonder our new 1.6 i-DTEC diesel model is class-leading with an outstanding combined consumption of 78.5mpg.*

They've also remodelled the Civic's high mounted rear wing to minimise drag, and improve fuel efficiency, across the whole of the Civic range. Add to that our innovative Idle Stop and Eco Assist systems, and you'll see we've really gone to town on fuel economy. And then back again.

The brains behind the beauty
Looks aren't everything. In fact, once you get under the skin of the Civic you'll find just as impressive technology to accompany you on your journey – from Smart Keyless Entry* to the advanced Honda Connect System**. There's definitely more to Civic than first meets the eye.

Advanced Safety

Your whole family will feel safe and secure in the new Civic. The Advanced Driver Assistance System Packs offer a range of safety features that give you complete peace of mind.
The City-Brake Active System*, standard for Comfort Grade, monitors traffic in front of the car and warns of a forward collision, giving you time to take action. And if you don't do anything, the system will even apply emergency braking and reduce speed automatically.
For even more peace of mind, you can choose to add Lane Departure Warning alarm and Forward Collision Warning, which monitor the area around the car to help you avoid potential accidents.

Quality Honda engines that live up to the test

Engines are important. They help take you from A to B and everywhere in between. It's why we dot the i's and cross the t's of every one we make. Testing it at full power for days on end. Cooling it then heating it – again and again before checking each part.
Once testing is complete you'll find both our petrol and diesel engines deliver on fuel economy, performance and cleaner emissions. So, take your pick. Whichever engine you choose, it'll pass with flying colours.

Seats that disappear as if by magic

Pick a seat. Any seat. In one simple motion you'll see it lift up and fold over, giving you space to carry anything tall, long or a mix of both.
And with the rear seats lying totally flat, the boot space opens up to reveal a generous 1,210 litres. So you're prepared for whatever life may throw at you.
You'll soon see there aren't any illusions here. Just clever Honda thinking

Running costs that won the race

We're always happy to win awards. Especially when it comes to value for money. In 2012, the Civic 1.4 i-VTEC SE was named overall winner in the Parkers Cost of Motoring New Car Awards, beating its three main class rivals to the finish line - Audi, Volkswagen and Ford.
Based on three years of ownership and covering 30,000 miles, the award takes into account fixed costs of depreciation, interest, showroom tax and the first registration fee, running costs of service and repair, road tax and fuel.
