Dining is not to be missed, with unique dining experiences in The Pass, wonderful locally sourced dishes to be discovered in Camellia restaurant and delicious afternoon teas. Head to the spa for rejuvenating treatments and an array of thermal experiences, as well as incredible dining and drinks in Botanica restaurant; from healthy brunches and Mediterranean inspired dishes, to local sparkling wines and body boosting tinctures.
Set into the natural contours of the land, The Spa complements the landscape with a grass and sedum roof and green oak cladding. Designed with sustainability in mind, bringing the outside in and extending the spa out into the grounds.
Outside are terraced sun decks, an outside natural swimming pond, hydrotherapy pool and a dining terrace. Inside features floor to ceiling windows in the gym, thermal suite and indoor infinity pool. In addition, and open to everyone to enjoy, is the Ridgeview Beauty Bar and Botanica, a Mediterranean inspired restaurant.

From 17th May you can return to our hotel, choose your own individual room, then take your pick from our two outstanding restaurants, will it be the relaxed Mediterranean influenced Botanica or the award-winning Camellia. Make sure you add your special extras like a treatment in the spa or fizz to be waiting in your room when you arrive.
Botanica
Open everyday for everyone to enjoy, including non-residents, Botanica is our brand new Mediterranean inspired restaurant where head chef Jonathan Spiers draws on the South Downs as a larder for fresh and seasonal ingredients. Although not totally vegetarian, the menu features a plethora of plant-based plates including our standout dish, the undeniably delicious Wasted Burger, made entirely from the pulp from the freshly prepared morning’s juices. Botanica offers a warm and welcoming casual dining experience where robes can be worn until 5.45pm.

The Pass is a unique dining location. An intimate restaurant found in the heart of the kitchen, diners are immersed in the experience, able to watch all the action, see dishes created and enjoy all the flavours just by taking a seat. Specialising in hosting residencies and creating partnerships with chefs who will bring their own style to The Pass for a limited time only. An exciting and interesting time for diners who will be able to experience the talent of different chefs and their menus throughout the year.
Weddings at South Lodge Hotel & Spa
In the heart of the dramatic Sussex Downs, South Lodge is the perfect venue for all seasons. In spring we welcome a striking display of rhododendrons. Our outdoor wedding pavilion offers the unique opportunity to marry with a panoramic view of the Downs in summer. Set within the 93 acres of parkland, plenty of vibrant colours in the autumn set a theme for your wedding day, and candlelit ceremonies and roaring log fires add to the atmosphere of romance when there is a chill in the winter air.
